Farvash
Mama Fahimeh´s Rosanium
Röda Sten Konsthall, Göteborg
2026

Mama Fahimeh’s Rosanium stems from the idea of a fictional rose garden, where a specific blend of rosewater has the ability to neutralise uranium oxide. Uranium is melted into glass vessels, which are filled with rosewater and suspended from the ceiling. During the performance, Farvash sets the vessels in motion like pendulums, releasing rosewater into the space. The work brings together uranium’s histories of nuclear power, danger and geopolitics with rosewater’s associations with purification, spiritual practice, memory and death.
The sculpture contains.
The uranium emits.
The rosewater evaporates.
The scent remains.
The work was developed for the artwork Hamseda by Aghili/Karlsson, as part of the Ofog/Mischiefs exhibition.
