Can I, as a woman, enter Azadi Stadium?

Women in Iran have long been restricted from entering football stadiums to watch men play.

Through their father, former Iranian national-team football coach Abbas Razavi, Farvash was invited to take part in an artist football tournament in Iran. The invitation became a negotiation: if Farvash was to form a team and participate, women would need access to the stadium.

Farvash invited artist Anna Tascha Larsson, formed Swedish Heartists, and negotiated directly with Iran’s Minister of Sport and Youth.

The intervention travelled through Tehran, Hamedan, Qeshm and Kish over four years.
