Pairidaēza

Växjö Konsthall, Växjö

2024

An oasis has landed in central Växjö. In a sandy landscape vibrating with color, Farvash invites you to escape thoughts that extend beyond time and space. A well of wishes. A metaphorical antenna that gathers and transmits people's directed will and gentle hopes.

Pairidaēza is the Old Persian word for paradise, meaning enclosure and enclosure. Paradise is a room within a room. A solitary installation of sound, light, neon pink sand and a shimmering green sculpture charged with the wishes and voices of people forced to leave their countries because of war. Wishes for understanding and acceptance. Prayers for a more peaceful world and a Middle East without oppression. Pairidaēza پردیس is a place for re-reflection and longing. A room without a roof for thoughts without vertigo.
